Please be informed that on January 19 the NIMIT reading room will be closed.

The library of the National Institute of Music and Dance is located on the second floor of the building at Aleksandra Fredry Street no. 8 in Warsaw. The Library is open from Monday to Thursday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

As of March 22, readers of the National Institute of Music and Dance Library are again allowed individual visits and use of the reading room, subject to sanitary discipline.

The Instituteʼs library is responsible for collecting, compiling and sharing publications, audio, video and other materials about dance, music and, in the most general scope, theatre. These collections are made available on-site in the reading room/media room.

The library is a space for learning, expanding oneʼs interests and developing passions. The library visitors are also invited to participate in meetings with authors and organised library classes.

Currently, the readers and guests of the library can access 5637 items (all items from the libraryʼ collection are made available), including 873 books on dance, 1402 books on music, 781 video recordings, 1100 audio recordings, 780 periodicals, 701 sheet music publications.

An online catalogue with a detailed list of available publications is available here.
