This film documents workshops on the construction of the hammered dulcimer of Rzeszów [cymbały rzeszowskie] led by Marek Kruczek as part of the 1st Master School of Folk Instruments Makers, a programme of the Institute of Music and Dance in Warsaw.
The workshops took place between 2 August and 13 October 2012 in the village of Futoma in Subcarpathia (Podkarpacie), and covered 9 sessions with Marek Kruczek and a concluding meeting at the Centre of Culture and Promotion in Jarosław. The participants were Piotr Wawrzkiewicz, Filip Polit and Klaudia Mach, young members of the Association of Traditional Music in Jarosław [Stowarzyszenie “Muzyka Dawna w Jarosławiu”].
